Security & Access Control

  Login history Every sign-in is now recorded with the user’s name, timestamp, IP address, and device type. Owners and Admins can review the last 100 logins for all company members under Settings → Security.

  Admin password reset Owners and Admins can set a new password for any team member directly from Settings → Security — no current password required. The Owner’s password cannot be reset by anyone except the Owner themselves.

  Admin-only user creation New staff accounts can only be created by an Owner or Admin from inside the app (Settings → Company). Anyone can still register a brand-new company, but they cannot add themselves to an existing company.

  Branch name saving now works correctly Saving your branch name from the Branches page previously returned a 401 error. Fixed by switching to the correct authentication method for local UI calls.

  Escape key now closes keyboard shortcuts panel Pressing Escape while the keyboard shortcuts help panel was open would navigate back instead of closing it. Fixed.

Branch Sync

• New
  Connect remote branches HQ can now connect to any remote DMXI office by entering its URL and secret key. Once connected, pull their full dataset — invoices, expenses, customers, purchases — with one click.

  Branch identity & secret key Every DMXI instance automatically generates a permanent Branch ID and a 64-character secret key stored in branch-config.json. The key authenticates all sync requests — without it, the export endpoint returns nothing.

  Snapshot viewer After syncing, HQ can open the branch data in a read-only view showing revenue, expense totals, and full invoice and expense tables per company. Data is always clearly labelled with the sync timestamp.

  Connection test before saving When adding a branch, a Test button checks the URL immediately and shows the branch name and DMXI version — so you know the connection is valid before saving.

  On-demand sync — no internet required between syncs Branches only need to be online when HQ initiates a sync. Between syncs the branch PC can be offline and HQ still sees the last snapshot. Works over any internet connection including mobile hotspots.

Mobile Experience

  Collapsible sidebar navigation On phones and tablets the sidebar becomes a slide-in drawer. Tap the hamburger menu to open it, tap outside or navigate to close it automatically.

  Fixed mobile header A slim top bar always shows the DMXI logo and your user avatar, so you always know where you are and can reach the menu in one tap.

Backups

  Daily automatic backups The desktop app now backs up your database every night at midnight to a backups/ folder beside DMXI.exe. Backups are zipped and named by date.

  Backup Now & Open Folder buttons Trigger a manual backup at any time from Settings → Backups, or open the backups folder directly in Windows Explorer.

  Restore from backup Any listed backup can be restored with a single click and a confirmation step. The database is replaced instantly — restart DMXI after restoring to apply changes.

Bug Fixes

• Fix
  Quotation PDFs now show VAT rate and amount Downloaded quotation PDFs were missing the VAT row in the totals section. The VAT percentage and calculated amount are now printed correctly when VAT is applied.

  30-day update grace period When a new version of DMXI is released, the desktop app shows a banner with a countdown. If the update is not installed within 30 days, the app blocks usage until you update — ensuring all users stay on a supported version.
